Vintage Wiehler Gobelin needlepoint in frame

Painstakingly done, vintage needlepoint from 1988 ( as per the handwritten German script on the back).

The piece is inspired by the artist Jean-Honore Fragonard’s ‘ A Girl Reading’.

Honestly, part of me isn’t sure I should even sell it, it’s so unusual and beautifully done.

This piece would suit a variety of styles and spaces, I can see it equally at home as quirky statement piece in a bathroom or above a dresser as a vignette. Perhaps in a girls bedroom or paneled library.
For fans of English Country, Cottagecore, European, Traditional.

Sometimes all you need in a room is something like this to inject a sense of personality.
