Nice vintage Vietnam War certificate awarded as a Strap Hanger Corps Level Award. I believe these were given to war photographers, because it mentions using a camera in the body of the certificate. It's obviously intended as a whimsical or humorous award. Nice reptile illustrations with a hand-drawn look, but it is printed on the paper. It is made out to specific major and signed at bottom, as shown. It's under glass in a black-painted wood frame with wire attached to back for hanging. The paper covering back is ripped at top, but I haven't been able to figure out if there's anything hidden under the certificate. Measures 16" x 19" framed and looks like it's in good vintage condition -- I do see some light foxing and discoloration at the top, and minor expected wear on frame edges. I haven't removed it from the frame so I can only specify the condition of what I can see.
This must be an unusual piece!
