In the Spring of 2005 Chris Ayres was busy working as a concept artist in Hollywood's film industry.That came to a crashing halt crashing when he was diagnosed with leukemia on April 1st after a year long period of treatment and recovery he started a sketch book called The Daily Zoo an anniversary of his diagnosis. His initial goal was drawing one animal per day for a year and was achieved and then published in the Daily Zoo Keeping the doctor at Bay with drawing a-day. The process was so rewarding and therapeutic however Chris kept right on drawing and the Daily Zoo Year 2 is another collection of a magic of animal characters and artist commentary.
