Tested and working, rare color, excellent condition PENTAX K-50 body, infrared cut filter removed

This is a PENTAX K-50 infrared cut filter removal camera body, an IR-compatible model. It features a rare panda design in white and black.

PENTAX infrared cameras are rarely sold by vendors, and even for those who offer filter removal services, the labor costs are very high. Some vendors won't even accept them.
Therefore, it's a valuable item that doesn't appear often on the market.
It has many uses, such as astrophotography and ancient document analysis.

Currently, the only manufacturer in Japan that can remove the filter from PENTAX K series cameras is Hayata Lab, and the removal fee alone costs around 40,000 yen. (This means you'll need to prepare the camera body separately at your own expense, ultimately costing around 60,000 to 70,000 yen.)

★ The infrared cut filter has been removed. Since the filter has not been replaced, it has the best visible and infrared light transmission among the various infrared specifications. The sensor position has been adjusted, so it does not affect the focus.
★ By adjusting the white balance on the camera, you can also take photos with a certain degree of natural color tones even when shooting subjects other than celestial objects.
★ There is no abnormality in the aperture mechanism unique to PENTAX cameras (commonly known as "black death," an issue where only dark photos are taken). Furthermore, the mechanism has been modified to prevent future malfunctions.
★ The exterior of the body is in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches or scuffs.
★ The camera's operation has been confirmed to be good, including AF, power-on, and shutter operation.
★ The last image is of the infrared emitting part of a TV remote control, taken with this camera and the included SD card. The light, which is barely visible to the naked eye, is clearly captured. At the same time, the background is naturally photographed due to the white balance function. Please refer to this image to judge the condition of the lens.
★ The accessories include everything shown in the photos (4GB SD card used for the shooting test, mount cap, and card case).
★ As mentioned above, the condition is good, but please consider this as an item that is out of warranty according to the manufacturer's definition, as it is a filter removal camera that has been disassembled once.
