This is the NY Mets Yearbook for 1971 which is two years after their first world championship & two years before losing to the Oakland A's, 4-3, in the World Series.
Mike Jorgensen, Tim Foli & Ken Singleton were "up & coming" in '71 but traded before they could reach fruition. Gil Hodges, Yogi Berra, Ken Boswell, AL Weis, Tommy Agee, Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Gary Gentry, Jerry Grote, Duffy Dyer, Art Shamsky, Wayne Garrett, Ron Swoboda, Jon Matlack, Bud Harrelson, Ed Kranepool, & even Nolan Ryan are all here. The above is only about half of the "household names" the Mets had on that star-studded team! There are color action photos of most players as well as bios in black & white. Banner Day, the All-Star game, & Helmet Day among other celebrations are highlighted.
The book has some cat-like cuts at the top left edge of the cover & water stains along the pages' outer edges. Other than that the color photos are brilliant & the black & white pics & profiles are crystal clear too.
