Hannya (般若) Original Cap - Japanese Tattoo Design

The "Hannya" tattoo, originally representing Buddhist "wisdom of enlightenment," in tattoos refers to the "oni mask" (Noh mask) of a woman driven mad by jealousy and resentment, and is tattooed as a ward against evil, a charm against misfortune, and an expression of the duality of human nature (anger and suffering).

In the modern age of social media, where people can speak freely without showing their faces, the duality of human nature seems to have become more apparent.

I believe that everyone has another personality hidden within their heart.

Concealing their weaknesses, venting their dissatisfaction with society and the parts of themselves they don't want to acknowledge on the unseen internet, and unconsciously hurting others... If that's the case, why not embrace both sides of yourself and live as you are?

I created this work with that thought in mind.
