Extremely rare, beautiful condition Lee 101B, 70s-80s US edition, 50s 60s reproduction

These are Lee Riders 101B jeans. They're a rare find because they have a button fly instead of a zipper fly. Button flies were likely used up until the 1950s or 60s, so these are probably a reproduction.

The button fly is made by Scovill, and the fabric is sturdy, so I think these are an American-made item from the 1970s or 80s.

Although they are a reproduction, the tag is a "riders" tag, which makes them quite mysterious. Japanese-market items would likely have a faithful reproduction of the "riders" tag, or would say "Made in Japan" or "Edwin Shoji," but this one doesn't have any of that. This suggests that they were American-made items from the 70s or 80s that were imported and sold in Japan.

Japan started selling American-made items in 1972, and production switched to Edwin in 1987, so based on the features and timing, I believe these are from the 70s or 80s. Therefore, they were likely made in the USA (MADE IN USA).

I couldn't find much information about them, but I can say that the condition, silhouette, and size are all excellent. They're in almost mint condition, making them a truly rare pair. If you wear a W30, please consider them.
