The German-Russian Campaign Medal, officially the "Winter Battle in the East 1941–42" (Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42), was a Nazi German medal awarded for service on the Eastern Front (Russian Front) during the harsh winter of 1941-1942, recognizing troops involved in Operation Barbarossa, featuring an eagle on one side and the campaign title with crossed sword/branch on the reverse, and worn on a distinctive ribbon with red, white, and black stripes.I am a collector of military medals, but I'm not an expert.
