Maker: The Whitehead & Hoag Co. of Newark, New Jersey
Circa 1913
James William van Kirk, a clergyman from Youngstown, Ohio, designed this peace flag in 1913 with rainbow stripes, stars and a globe. With this flag he made two peace trips through Europe. The World Peace Congress adopted this flag as the "Flag of World Peace".
