23 Unused Bubble Bokeh Lens Diaplan (Pentacon) 80mm M42

This lens was manufactured in 1966. It is a new, unused, and excellent condition lens with a pristine lens surface.

This is a Diaplan (Pentacon) 80mm f/2.8 M42 mount lens, famous for its bubble bokeh.
It has a built-in helicoid, allowing for fine focus adjustments.

This is a very rare VEB Pentacon AV (Meyer Optik Diaplan) 80mm F2.8 modified M42 mount lens, the king of bubble bokeh lenses, boasting the largest aperture in the Diaplan series. The Diaplan 80 and Pentacon 80 are the same lens, although the engraving is different.

The PENTACON AV/DIAPLAN series of projector lenses can be modified for photography to produce bubble bokeh, making them a popular substitute for the expensive Trioplan. This is a modified lens that allows the VEB Pentacon AV 80mm F2.8 to be used with an M42 mount.

Bubble bokeh has been trending in the old lens field for several years. The Trioplan by Meyer Optik, which ignited the boom, actually has a sister product, the Diaplan, which was supplied for projectors. The lens configuration is the same as the Trioplan, and it produces bubble bokeh almost identical to the Trioplan, making it a recently noticed product as a substitute for the expensive Trioplan.
In test shots, it was possible to shoot clearly without any problems.

This is a modified lens that converts a Diaplan AV 80mm F2.8 lens to an M42 mount, allowing for focusing. The aperture is fixed at F2.8. There are no operational issues.
